Nick Lemire was born and raised in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He graduated cum laude at Arizona State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Design. Fueled by a passion for building and an interest in social, cultural, and humanitarian design, Nick co-founded Integral Shelter; a non-profit 501(c)3 providing thoughtful inclusive design-build to help empower impoverished communities to overcome adversity. As a result of the development, education, and 'unique' solutions that have derived from his work abroad, Nick was announced the 2006 recipient of the Edson Entrepreneur Initiative Award. Nick's experience ranges from the design, build, and management of projects for cultural, recreational, residential, religious, retail, and educational use. He has been part of the 180 degrees family since 2006 and his energy, commitment, and sense of humor contribute to the overall unique work environment that lies within the 180 team.

In 2005, nick was the recipient of the AIA Sean Murphy Travel Award and went to Dennilton, South Africa to assist in the construction of an AIDS orphanage designed with alternative building methods
