paradise valley residence was designed by Alison Rainey and built by 180 degrees

Originally designed by Al Beadle, this Paradise Valley home evolved over the years with room additions and exterior makeovers, including a Santa Fe appliqué. The home owners, having already lived in a Beadle home, have a great appreciation of modern architecture and purchased this residence with the intention of restoring the clean modern lines to the home. Situated near Camelback Mountain, the views from the living room and kitchen are stunning. The new design involved masking exposed vega beams with a new ceiling and with the removal of the beehive, a large fireplace feature was introduced. A new structural beam allowed for a thirty foot long expanse of sliding doors. The door system offers the flexibility to open one or all of the doors accommodating the daily needs of the family or creating an impressive indoor-outdoor experience while entertaining. The original master bedroom and bath were expanded to include a larger shower and a freestanding tub, along with additional closet space. The existing block wall that once separated the inside from out was sandblasted to remove the veil of paint on the exterior side and gypsum plaster on the interior giving the original structure a renewed purpose, indicating homage to the original architect. The experience of peeling back the layers to bring the home back to its modern roots was not just a remodel but a journey of finding Beadle.
