lucent was designed by Josh Garber and built by 180 degrees

Lucent is a 30 foot tall sculpture made in 6 sections that fit inside of each other. Each section is made out of welded aluminum bars with fiber optic lighting placed at the top of each section. The piece was conceived as a beacon for the community and its form is based from a floral theme. The piece was commissioned by Valley Metro Rail for the 19th Ave and Camelback Light Rail Station in Phoenix, Arizona.
